The New York Youth Symphony Opens Its 54th Season with Violinist Simone Porter

New York, NY - The New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) orchestra led by Music Director Joshua Gersenopens its 54th season with emerging violinist Simone Porter making her NYYS debut with Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1. The orchestra will also present the world premiere of Neon by First Music competition winner Viet Cuong.  Brahms' romantic Symphony No. 3 and Ravel's choreographic poem La valse will round out the program scheduled on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium/Perelman stage at 2pm.
