Throughout each season members of the Chamber and Jazz programs go into the community to perform concerts for special audiences at venues that include children's hospitals, school and senior centers. On January 23rd, three ensembles from the New York Youth Symphony's Chamber program performed at the Penn South Program for Seniors. Arranged in coordination with Concerts in Motion, each ensemble performed several numbers for the seniors at the center for a wonderful afternoon of music.
Joseph Morag, who performed with one of the ensembles, said "It was extremely gratifying to play for an audience that appreciated my music so much. I felt privileged to be able to give back to my community."
